Olga A. Aleshina — Head of the Division of Cellular and Immune Therapy, hematologist, oncologist, Candidate of Medical Sciences
Olga Aleshina graduated from the the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov (2010) and began her residency at the NMRC for Hematology in the specialty "Hematology and blood transfusion" (since 2010).
In 2015 Aleshina defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences. This research was the first in world practice devoted to study the B-cell clonality and mutations of the SOCS1 gene in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma who underwent intensified chemotherapy programs. For this work Aleshina received a grant from ASH 2014 (American Society of Hematology) as a young scientist. In 2020, another grant was received for proving that the mortality rate from COVID-19 in patients with hematological diseases is ten times higher than the mortality rate among the general population.
In 2014 she completed an internship at the University Hospital of Leipzig with Professor Dieter Niederwiser, and in 2017 studied in the USA under the professional exchange program.
In 2020, Aleshina assumed the position of head of the Observational Department of the NMRC for Hematology, created in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since August 1, 2022, she has been in charge of the Department of Hematology and Chemotherapy for Acute Leukemia and Lymphomas. The main duties of the department are the development and implementation of modern protocols for the treatment of acute leukemia and malignant lymphomas, including immune and targeted therapies.
In addition to her duties as head of the department and clinical work, she actively participates in scientific activities. She is a member of the European Working Group for the Study of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in Adults, annually participates in international and domestic conferences dedicated to the problems of acute lymphoblastic leukemia in adults, and dedicates time to the study of COVID-19. She actively participates in the project, "Equal Consultant" from the "Fight Against Leukemia" Foundation as a doctor-supervisor.

Olga Aleshina holds a commendation from the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation for good and conscientious work (2021). She was awarded the state prize with the medal “Saint Luke of Crimea" by the President of the Russian Federation (2022).
